The jobs that do not fit a box

Custom surfacing projects in South East Queensland

Not every job is a driveway or a car park. When you have got an access road, a hardstand, a loading area or a bit of rural infrastructure to surface, that is exactly the sort of work we take on.

Surfacing work, shaped to the job

Some jobs sit outside the tidy list of services. A farm access track that turns to soup in the wet. A hardstand that needs to carry machinery. A loading area, a private lane, a stretch of road that needs repairing. These are the projects we enjoy, because they are about solving a real problem rather than stamping out a standard product. We look at what the surface has to do, what will be running over it and where the water goes, then build something that suits.

What we take on

  • Access roads and private lanes. Durable, all-weather surfaces for the roads that keep a property or site running.
  • Hardstands and loading areas. Surfaces built to carry heavy vehicles, plant and repeated loads.
  • Road seals and road repairs. Fresh asphalt and bitumen seals, plus pothole and surface repairs to keep a road sound.
  • Two coat seals. A tougher, waterproof two coat seal for areas that need the extra protection.
  • Kerbs and gutters. Kerb and channel work that keeps water moving and holds the surface together.
  • Rural infrastructure. The surfacing side of the jobs that keep rural and semi-rural sites working.

How we approach it

Work out the problem first

Got something unusual?

If you are not sure whether your job is our sort of work, the quickest answer is to ask. We surface driveways and car parks day in, day out, but a lot of our most satisfying work is the projects that do not fit neatly anywhere else. Have a look at our full range of services, or just tell us what you have got.

Where we work

We take on custom surfacing and civil projects across South East Queensland, including Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Ipswich and Toowoomba.

On the job

The jobs that do not fit a box

Industrial yards, civil works and staged commercial sites all start the same way: assess the ground, build the base, then surface to suit the traffic it has to carry.

Common questions

Custom project questions, answered

What kinds of jobs do you take on?

Access roads, hardstands, loading areas, private lanes, kerb and channel, road seals and repairs, and the surfacing side of larger civil work. If it involves asphalt or bitumen and it does not fit a standard driveway or car park box, it is worth asking us.

Do you do commercial and government work?

Yes. We take on commercial and public-sector surfacing alongside private jobs, and we build to the standards those projects require.

Can you handle a difficult or remote site?

Often, yes. Access and ground conditions shape the method and the machinery, so we come out, get across what the surface has to carry and where the water goes, then plan the job around the site rather than force a standard approach onto it.

What surface will you use for my project?

Whatever the job actually needs. Hot mix asphalt for the surfaces that cop the most, a spray seal or a two coat seal for larger areas and rural access, or a combination. We spec it to the traffic and the conditions, not to whatever is easiest for us.

How do I get a price for an unusual job?

Tell us what you have got and we will come and look. Custom work is quoted after a proper site assessment, and the price comes back to you fixed and in writing, with no obligation to go ahead.
